Leonardo Q1 adj net profit 184 mln eur, up 60%
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 6 mag - The Italian defence and aerospace group Leonardo said its adjusted net profit reached 184 million euros in the first quarter of 2026, up by 60% compared to the year earlier.
EBITA increased by 33.2% to 281 million euros.
Revenue totalled 4.448 billion euros, up by a reported 7% and 10% higher at constant exchange rates. New orders in the quarter increased by 30.7% to 9.002 billion euros, with the order backlog rising by 23.0% to 56.805 billion. The growth in the order backlog was also due to the consolidation of the Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) business, which provided a boost of about 5.6 billion euros. Free operating cash flow improved to a negative 411 million euros in the quartr from a negative 580 million the year earlier.
Group net debt amounted to 3.049 billion euros, a 43.5% increase on the year earlier, due to the roughly 1.6 billion euro financial outlay for the acquisition of the IDV business, as well as that for the remaining 35% of GEM Elettronica and 100% of Enterprise Electronics Corporation.
