(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) -Milano,17 nov - Johnson & Johnson said it had agreed to buy clinical-stage biotechnology company Halda Therapeutics OpCo for 3.05 billion dollars in cash.

"This acquisition further strengthens our deep oncology pipeline with an exciting lead asset in prostate cancer and a platform capable of treating multiple cancers and diseases beyond oncology," said executive vice president Jennifer Taubert.

The New Jersey-based company said it expects the Halda acquisition to reduce its 2026 adjusted per-share earnings by about 0.15 dollars due to short-term financing and a charge related to equity awards for Halda employees.

The deal is expected to close within the next few months.
