Intel sees Q2 revenue hit on revocation of license export

US govt revokes export license for Chinese client (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 08 May - Chipmaker Intel said the US Department of Commerce was revoking certain licenses for exports of consumer-related items to a customer in China, effective immediately, which would have an effect on its second-quarter revenue.

"As a result, the company expects revenue for the second quarter of 2024 to remain in the original range of 12.5 billion to 13.5 billion dollars, but below the midpoint," Intel said in a filing to US market regulator SEC.

Intel did not disclose the name of the Chinese customer.
