Sensex up 1.26% at 74,657 points (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Mumbai, 29 Apr - Indian shares closed higher amid strong Asian markets, resuming a recent rally after Friday's selloff.

In Mumbai stock market dealings banks led the gains as they rebounded from Friday's losses.

The BSE Sensex closed up 1.26% at 74,657 points, while the NSE Nifty closed up 1.00% at 22,643 points.
