Indian shares close slightly higher in volatile trade
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 13 mag - Indian share prices closed slightly higher after a volatile session.
Sentiment remained cautious and lacked a clear direction as investors monitored the fragile ceasefire between the US and Iran, although a recovery in the rupee and a slight easing of oil prices provided some support.
Gains were led by metal, chemical, and midcap healthcare stocks, while the auto, IT, and banking sectors remained under pressure.
The BSE Sensex edged up 0.06% to close at 74,608.98 points,.
while the NSE Nifty added 0.14% to reach 23,412.60 points.
