Sensex down 1.45% at 72,404 points (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Mumbai, 09 May - Indian shares closed lower, extending a recent selloff amid mixed Asian markets.

In Mumbai stock market dealings, conglomerate L&T dipped 5.65%, leading the losses on the Nifty50 index after it forecast low revenue growth.

The BSE Sensex closed down 1.45% at 72,404 points, while the NSE Nifty closed down 1.61% at 21,943 points.
