Indian shares close higher on Hormuz transit hopes

Relief over energy supply concerns helped offset persistent pressure from crude oil prices holding above 100 dollars and heavy selling by foreign institutional investors.
Gains in IT and banking stocks balanced losses in the realty and media sectors.
The BSE Sensex rose 1.25% to close at 75,502.85 mpoints while.
