Indian share prices close lower amid global sell off

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 8 giu - Indian share prices closed lower in the wake of a broad sell off across global markets, persistent FII selling and rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Sentiment was pressured by a combination of factors. Concerns over potential Federal Reserve interest rate hikes, surging oil prices, rising bond yields, and a falling rupee all triggered significant profit taking.

Losses were led by IT, realty, metal, and auto stocks.

The BSE Sensex fell 0.96% to close at 73,524.26 points, while.

the NSE Nifty shed 1.04% to reach 23,123.00 points.
