India shares close higher despite Middle East tensions

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 16 giu - Indian share prices closed higher, rebounding after two consecutive sessions of losses, despite concerns over rising geopolitical tensions between Israel and Iran that continued to weigh on global sentiment.

Gains were led by technology and pharmaceutical stocks.

The BSE Sensex rose 0.83% to close at 81,796.15 points while.

the NSE Nifty gained 0.92% to reach 24,946.50 points.
