Hong Kong shares close lower on US-Iran tensions

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 18 mag - Hong Kong stock prices closed lower as investors turned cautious following renewed warnings from US president Donald Trump toward Iran.

The potential for escalation in the Middle East drove oil prices up by more than 1%, fueling concerns over rising corporate costs and global inflation.

Losses were led by the finance and tech stocks.

The Hang Seng index fell 1.11% to close at 25,675.18 points.
