Hong Kong shares close higher on US-Iran ceasefire agreement
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 8 apr - Hong Kong share prices closed higher, as investor confidence was supported by a two-week ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran.
The deal, which led to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, eased fears of military disruptions and sparked a relief rally across Asian equity markets.
Gains were led by financials, technology, and consumer stocks.
The Hang Seng index jumped 3.09% to close at 25,893.02.
