Hong Kong share prices closed higher as Middle East diplomacy lift sentiment

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 10 apr - Hong Kong share prices closed higher as renewed Middle East de-escalation sentiment helped restore risk appetite.

Reports that Israel signaled openness to negotiations with Lebanon encouraged investors to rotate back into risk assets, although the mood remained sensitive to ongoing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Gains in the technology and financial sectors led the advance.

The Hang Seng index rose 0.55% to close at 25,893.54 points.
