Hong Kong share prices close lower on Middle East uncertainty

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 26 mar - Hong Kong share prices closed lower, as market sentiment was weighed down by conflicting reports regarding a potential de-escalation of the conflict between the US and Iran.

While Washington suggested progress toward a ceasefire, Tehran indicated it was not ready for direct talks, fueling investor caution and a shift away from riskier assets.

Losses were led by tech and cloud computing sectors.

The Hang Seng index fell 1.89% to close at 24,856.43 points.
