Hong Kong share prices close lower on Middle East tensions

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 13 apr - Hong Kong share prices closed lower as the intensifying conflict in the Middle East pressured global markets.

Investor appetite cooled following the collapse of diplomatic negotiations and the resulting naval blockade, which triggered a surge in crude oil prices and a cautious move away from equities across the region.

Losses were led by tech and financial stocks.

The Hang Seng index fell 0.90% to close at 25,660.85 points.
