Up organic 3.0% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Berlin, 08 May - The German chemical group Henkel said that in the first quarter sales fell 5.2% year on year to 5.317 billion euros, but rose an organic 3.0%.

The adhesive technologies business posted organic sales growth of 1.3% and consumer brands an organic growth of 5.2%.

The group had alread raised its guidance on May 3.

For the full year it expects organic sales growth of 2.5-4.5%, adjusted return on sales of 13.0-14.0% and adjusted earnings per preferred share up 15.0-25.0% at constant exchange rates.
