Henkel FY sales 20.5 bln eur, down 5.1%; up 0.9% organically
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 11 mar - German consumer goods and industrial adhesives company Henkel Group said that in fiscal 2025 sales fell a reported 5.1% to 20.495 billion euros reflecting a 4.2% currency impact, while organically they grew 0.9% mainly due to prices while volumes remained flat.
Acquisitions/divestments also had a negative 1.7% impact on sales, mainly due to the sale of the Retailer Brands business in North America in the Consumer Brands business unit.
The Adhesive Technologies business unit generated good organic sales growth of 1.5%, driven in particular by the Mobility & Electronics business area. The Consumer Brands business unit posted positive organic sales growth of 0.3%, driven particularly by the Hair business area.
Adjusted EBIT was at 3.026 billion euros down from 3.089 billion in 2024, primarily due to significantly negative foreign exchange effects. The adjusted EBIT margin however inched up to 14.8% from 14.3%.
Adjusted earnings per preferred share (EPS) decreased 0.6% to 5.33 euros. At constant exchange rates, adjusted it increased by 4.7%.
Free cash flow fell to 1.850 billion eurosfrom 2.362 billio due to changes in net working capital and translation effects from exchange rate conversion. However, the net financial position improved to 109 million euros from a negative 93 million.
The group will propose a dividend increase of 1.5% to 2.07 euros per preferred share and 2.05 euros per ordinary share.
For 2026, Henkel expects organic sales growth: 1.0-3.0%, and an EBIT margin of 14.5-16.0%. EPS is seen rising in the low to high single-digit percentage range at constant exchange.
