Hapag-Lloyd agrees to buy Zim for 4.2 bln usd
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 16 feb - -- German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd said it had agreed to buy Israeli rival Zim for around 4.2 billion dollars.
The deal to buy Zim t at 35 dollars per share will be financed from Hapag Lloyd's cash reserves and external financing of up to 2.5 billion dollars.
The price is a 65% premium to Zim's closing price on Friday.
The deal is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
