GM Q1 adj EPS 3.70 usd vs 2.78
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 28 apr - The US car maker General Motors said that in the first quarter diluted earnings per share fell 15.9% to 2.82 dollars from 3.35 dollars a year earlier and adjusted diluted EPS rose 33.0% to 3.70 dollars from 2.78 dollars.
Revenue fell 0.9% to 43.624 billion dollars.
Adjusted EBIT rose 21.9% to 4.253 billion dollars.
The company is raising its full-year 2026 EBIT adjusted guidance due to a favorable adjustment of approximately 0.5 billion dollars resulting from the US Supreme Court decision regarding certain US tariffs that were paid under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
GM now expects gross tariff costs of 2.5-3.5 billion dollars in 2026, down from the original estimate of 3.0-4.0 billion dollars.
The company now sees adjusted EBIT of 13.5-15.5 billion dollars in 2026, against 13.0-15.0 billion previously, and adjusted EPS of 11.50-13.50 dollars, against a previous.
forecast of 11.00-13.00 dollars.
