Also in Frankfurt, EON shares added 4.00% to 18.84 euros after posting first-quarter results above estimates and confirming its full year outlook.

In Milan, shares of the Italian aerospace company Avio were up 1.49% at 30.60 euros as investors cheered quarterly.
