Europe shares end sharply higher on US-Iran optimism -2-
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 6 mag - In European stock market dealings, energy shares were mostly lower as oil prices receded.
In Paris, TotalEnergies closed 3.22% lower at 76.75 euros while in Milan, Eni dropped 4.15% at 22.97 euros.
Also in Milan, shares of the Italian gaming company Lottomatica rose 12.71% to 27.67 euros as investors cheered adjusted EBITDA figures that beat market expectations.
While Amplifon shares surged 12.40% to 11.22 euros after the hearing aid leader reported record first quarter margins of 24.5% and a 6.7% increase in adjusted net profit to 44.4 million euros.
In Copenhagen, Novo Nordisk rose 2.48% at 293.00 Danish crowns after the pharmaceutical company hiked its earnings guidance on better-than-expected performance from its weight-loss drugs in the first three months of the year, while Pandora jumped 14.31% at 568.80 Danish crowns after better-than-expected first quarter sales.
In Frankfurt trade, shares of the German automaker BMW gained 5.41% to 81.40 euros after the group confirmed its annual outlook, despite a decline in quarterly results that analysts.
