Also in Zurich, Givaudan shares climbed 2.68% to 2,869.00 Swiss francs after the company recorded first quarter revenues that came in higher than anticipated.

In Copenhagen, Novo Nordisk shares closed 3.32% higher at 246.15 Danish crowns after the pharmaceutical giant said it is partnering with OpenAI on improving treatment options.

In Milan, shares of the Italian hearing aid group Amplifon were up 3.18% at 9.21 euros as Barclays projected margin growth for the first quarter, offsetting a substantially flat.
