Ericsson Q1 sales 49.3 bln Swedish crowns vs 55.0 bln; up organic 6%
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 17 apr - Swedish telecoms equipment maker Ericsson said that in the first quarter reported sales decreased an annual 10% to 49.3 billion Swedish crowns from 55.0 billion a year earlier, including a 7.8 billion crown currency impact, but organically, sales grew 6%.
Networks sales declined 8% to 32.9 billion crowns, but were up 7% organically. Cloud Software and Services sales decreased 9% to 11.8 billion crowns, but were 4% higher organically. Enterprise sales declined 30% to 4.2 billion crowns, mainly driven by an adverse 1.1 billion crown impact from the divestment of iconectiv in 2025. Organically, they grew 4% driven by Global Communications Platform.
The adjusted gross margin was 48.1% from 48.5% a year ago with an increase in the margin for Cloud Software and Services, while Networks margin decreased slightly. The reported gross margin was 47.2% from 48.2%.
Adjusted EBITA was 5.6 billion crowns from 6.9 billion a year ago, with an 11.3% margin from 12.6%, mainly reflecting currency headwinds. EBITA was 1.8 billion crowns from 6.7 billion, impacted by a 3.8 billion crowns of 3.8 restructuring charges.
Net income was 0.9 billion crowns, down from 4.2 billion.
