Delta Air Lines Q1 adj EPS 0.64 usd vs 0.45

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 8 apr - Delta Air Lines said it reported a first quarter net loss of 289 million dollars, or a loss of 0.44 dollars per diluted share,compared to a profit of 240 million, or earnings per share of 0.37 dollars the year earlier.

Adjusted EPS instead grew to 0.64 dollars from 0.45 dollars in the first quarter of 2025.

Operating revenue rose by 13% to 15.854 billion dollars.

"Demand remains strong, and we are taking actions to protect our margins and cash flow. This includes meaningfully reducing capacity growth, with a downward bias until the fuel environment improves, and moving quickly to recapture higher fuel costs," said Ed Bastian, Delta's CEO.

Delta said it expects to post a pre-tax profit of 1 billion dollars in the second quarter of 2026 despite a more than 2 billion dollar increase in fuel expense of the forwad curve.

It is also guiding for low-teens revenue growth in quarter on "flat capacity growth, reflecting strong demand momentum, meaningful capacity reductions, and rapid actions to.

recapture higher fuel."
