CVS Health Q1 adj EPS 2.57 usd vs 2.25

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 6 mag - The US healthcare company CVS Health said it reported diluted earnings per share of 2.30 dollars in the first quarter, up from 1.41 dollars in the year earlier.

Adjusted EPS increased to 2.57 dollars from 2.25 dollars, mainly due to improved adjusted operating income in the Health Care benefits segment, reflecting continued execution on a margin recovery plan for that segment.

Revenue in the quarter amounted to 100.4 billion dollars, up by 6.2%.

CVS Health raised its guidance for the full year.

It now expects to report a diluted EPS of 6.24-6.44 dollars versus previous guidance of 5.94-6.14 dollars and adjusted EPS of 7.30-7.50 dollars against 7.00-7.20 dollars previously. It increased its cash flow from operations guidance to at least 9.5 billion dollars from at least 9.0.
