Critical Metals plans 835 mln usd deal for European Lithium

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 27 apr - Critical Metals said it intends to buy European Lithium in an all-stock deal valued at around 835 million dollars.

Under the deal European Lithium shareholders will receive 0.035 shares of Critical Metals for each share held.

The companies said they had signed a letter of intent, adding the deal was expected to close in the second half of 2026.

The deal will consolidate ownership of the Tanbreez rare-earths project in Greenland, in which European Lithium holds a 7.5% stake, giving Critical Metals full control of the asset.

It will also eliminate as major shareholder European Lithium, which currently owns about 34% of Critical Metals shares.

European Lithium has agreed to an exclusivity period while.
