Q1 revenue up 1.2% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 25 Apr - US communications group Comcast said its earnings per share in the first quarter rose to 0.97 dollars from 0.91 in the same period last year.

Adjusted EPS increased by 13.9% to 1.04 dollars, above a market consensus of 0.99.

Revenue in the period rose 1.2% to 30.058 billion dollars while net cash provided by operating activities rose 8.6% to 7.848 billion dollars and free cash flow grew 19.4% to 4.538 billion.

'We delivered double digit growth in adjusted EPS and free cash flow while returning 3.6 billion dollars to shareholders, investing aggressively in our businesses, and maintaining our strong balance sheet," said Brian L. Roberts, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Comcast Corporation.
