(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 8 giu - The US food company Campbell's said that in the third quarter ended May 3, net sales decreased 4% to 2.4 billion dollars on a reported and organic basis.

EBIT increased 48% to 239 million dollars compared with the previous year which reflected a 150 million dollar impairment charge Adjusted EBIT declined 24% to 274 million dollars and adjusted earnings per share fell 32% to 0.50 dollars.

The company reaffirmed its full-year guidance.

For the full year, Campbell's expects organic sales to fall.

1-2% and adjusted EPS to drop 23-26% to 2.15-2.25 dollars.
