Bayer Q3 core EPS 0.57 eur vs 0.24

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 12 nov - The German chemicals and pharmaceuticals group Bayer said it posted a net loss of 963 million euros in the third quarter of 2025, down from the 4.183 billion loss recorded the year earlier, as its bottom line was affected by special charges for litigation.

Core earnings per share instead jumped to 0.57 euros from 0.24 euros the year earlier.

EBITDA before special items rose by 20.8% to 1.511 billion euros.

Sales in the quarter totalled 9.660 billion euros, down by a reported 3.1% but 0.9% higher on a foreign exchange rate and portfolio adjusted basis.

Free cash flow declined by 48.1% to 596 million euros, mainly due to higher settlement figures. Bayer said that the figure is in line with its projections and reflects the seasonality of its business.

Pointing to a "solid performance" in the first nine months of the year, Bayer said it confirmed its upgraded full-year group guidance published in its half-year report. For its consumer health business it now anticipates currency- and portfolio-adjusted sales growth of a negative 1% to a positive 1% as the division "navigates an increasingly challenging market environment" Bayer had previously expected currency- and portfolio-adjusted sales growth at the division.

at the lower end of the 2-5% projected range.
