AT&T Q1 adj EPS 0.55 usd vs 0.60

Q1 revenue 30.0 bln usd, down 0.4% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 24 Apr - The US telecommunications company AT&T said that in the first quarter of 2023 earnings per diluted common share fell to 0.47 dollars from 0.57 dollars in the year-ago quarter and adjusted diluted EPS slipped to 0.55 dollars from 0.60 dollars.

Revenue fell 0.4% to 30.0 billion dollars.

Adjusted EBITDA was 11.0 billion dollars versus 10.6 billion and operating income was 5.8 billion dollars against 6.0 billion.

Cash from operating activities was 7.5 billion dollars, up 0.9 billion year over year.

Capital expenditures were down to 3.8 billion dollars from 4.3 billion.

Free cash flow was 3.1 billion dollars for the quarter versus 1.0 billion in the year-ago quarter.

Total debt was 132.8 billion dollars at the end of the first quarter, and net debt was 128.7 billion. In the quarter, the company repaid 4.7 billion dollars of long-term debt. The company continues to expect to achieve net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA in the 2.5x range in the first half of 2025.
