A2A 9 mth attributable net profit 581 mln eur, down 19%

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 12 nov - The Italian power utility A2A said that in the first nine months of 2025 net attributable profit amounted to 581 million euros, decreasing 19% year on year.

Excluding the effect of the normalization in hydropower production, net profit dropped 7%.

EBITDA fell 4% to 1.729 billion euros, primarily due to hydroelectric production returning to levels more in line with historical averages.

Excluding the effects of hydropower normalization, EBITDA grew 3%.

Revenues rose 12% to 10.170 billion euros thanks to the increase in unit prices in the retail, district heating and waste disposal segments, higher volumes sold to end and wholesale customers in the electricity segment, as well as the contribution of the consolidation of Duereti.

Organic capex in the first nine months of 2025 amounted to 1.037 million euros, up 15% year on year.

Net debt fell to 5.317 billion euros at the end of September from 5.835 billion at the end of 2024.

For the full year, A2A anticipates EBITDA at the upper end of its 2.17-2.20 billion euro guidance range and net profit profit, net of non-recurring items, coming in at0.68-0.70 billion euros.
