March core PCE price index up 2.8% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 26 Apr - The PCE price index increased 0.3% in March compared to February and was up 2.7% on the year.

Excluding food and energy prices, the PCE price index increased 0.3% on a monthly basis and was up 2.8% compared to March 2023.

Economists were expecting the core PCE price index to rise by 0.3% on the month and 2.6% on the year.
