Below expectations (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 18 Apr - The leading economic index (LEI) for the US was down 0.3% month on month in March, the Conference Board said.

Economists were expecting the index to fall 0.1%.

The Conference Board's coincident economic index for the US rose 0.3% in March; and the lagging economic index was unchanged.
