US March durable goods orders up 2.6% mth/mth

Up 0.2% mth/mth ex transport (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Washington, 24 Apr - US new orders for manufactured durable goods in March rose 2.6% month on month, to 283.4 billion dollars, according to data released by the US Census Bureau.

Economists were expecting a rise of 2.5% rise.

In February, orders grew 0.7%.

Excluding transportation, new orders rose 0.2%. Excluding defense, new orders increased 2.3%.
