(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 23 apr - The flash US manufacturing purchasing managers' index rose to 54.0 in April from 52.3 in March, according to preliminary data released by global information provider IHS Markit that compiles the report. It marked a 47 month high for the index.

Expectations were for a reading of 52.5.
