UK April CPI up 3.5% yr/yr vs 2.6% in March

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 21 mag - In April, UK's Consumer Prices Index (CPI) rose by 3.5% in the 12 months to April, up from 2.6% in the 12 months to March, according to Office for National Statistics.

On a monthly basis, CPI rose by 1.2% in April.

The Consumer Prices Index including owner occupiers' housing costs (CPIH) rose by 4.1% in the 12 months to April, up from 3.4% in the 12 months to March.

On a monthly basis, CPIH rose by 1.2% in April.

Core CPI, which excludes energy, food, alcohol and tobacco, rose by 3.8% in the 12 months to April, up from 3.4% in the 12 months to March. The CPI goods annual rate rose from 0.6% to 1.7%, while the CPI services annual rate rose from 4.7% to 5.4%.

Core CPIH rose by 4.5% year on year, up from 4.2% in the 12 months to March; the CPIH goods annual rate rose from 0.6% to 1.7%, while the CPIH services annual rate rose from 5.4% to.
