Down 0.8% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Bern, 02 May - In March, Swiss nominal retail sales, seasonally adjusted, fell 0.7% compared with the previous month, according to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).

Adjusted for sales days and holidays, retail sales fell 0.8% in nominal terms compared with the previous year. Real turnover adjusted for sales days and holidays fell in the retail sector by 0.1% in March 2024 compared with the previous year. Real growth takes inflation into consideration. Compared with the previous month, real, seasonally adjusted retail trade turnover registered a decline of 0.4%.
