Q1 sales 10.464 bln eur, up 6.7% same forex (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 25 Apr - The French pharmaceutical group Sanofi said that in the first quarter of 2024 reported a 43.1% decline in reported earnings per share to 0.91 euros and that the business EPS stood at 1.78 euros, down a reported 17.6% and 7.4% at constant exchange rates.

Net sales amounted to 10.464 billion euros, up a reported 2.4% and 6.7% at constant currency rates.

The company reiterated its business EPS guidance.

Sanofi expects 2024 business EPS to remain "roughly stable" excluding the impact of an expected effective tax rate increase to 21% and to decrease by a low single-digit rate at constant exchange rates including the higher expected tax rate. Applying average April 2024 exchange rates, the negative currency impact on 2024 business EPS is estimated between 5.5-6.5%.
