Ku-area of Tokyo March CPI up 0.3% mth/mth, up 1.4% yr/yr

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 31 mar - In March, the consumer price index in the Ku-area of Tokyo rose 0.3% from February, when it fell 0.4%, and increased an annual 1.4%, slowing from 1.5% in the earlier month, according to data released by the Statistics Bureau of Japan.

Excluding fresh food, core CPI rose a monthly 0.4% after falling 0.3% and rose an annual 1.7%, slowing from 1.8%, still below the Bank of Japan's target of 2.0%.

Excluding fresh food and energy, the so-called core-core CPI rose 0.4% from the earlier month, when it rose 0.3%, and increased an annual 1.4% from 1.5%.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, CPI was up a monthly 0.1% after falling 0.1%. Core CP was up 0.3% also after falling 0.1% and core-core CPI was up 0.2% after rising 0.3%. CPI for goods was up 0.2% from up 0.3% and for services it was 0.2%.
