March exports up 7.3% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Tokyo, 17 Apr - In March, Japan posted a trade surplus of 366.467 billion yen compared with a deficit of 750.854 billion in the same period a year ago, according to data released by the Ministry of Finance.

Exports rose 7.3% to 9.47 trillion yen while imports fell 4.9% to 9.10 trillion yen.

Exports to China rose 12.6% while those to the US increased 8.5%. Those to western Europe rose 2.9% with a 9.7% increase in those to the UK and a 2.4% rise in those to Germany and 6.4% to Spain.
