Exports up 8.3% yr/yr, imports up 8.3% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Tokyo, 22 May - In April, Japan posted a trade deficit of 462.506 billion yen compared with the deficit of 429.794 billion in the same month a year ago, according to data released by the Ministry of Finance.

Exports rose an annual 8.3% to 8.981 trillion yen. Imports also increased 8.3% to 9.443 trillion yen.
