Italy Sept adj industrial output up 2.8% mth/mth, up 1.5% yr/yr

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 12 nov - In September 2025, Italy's seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 2.8% compared to the previous month, data from statistics institute Istat showed.

On a calendar adjusted basis, Italian industrial output in September 2025 increased by 1.5% compared to the year earlier.

There were 22 working days in September 2025 and 21 the year earlier.

The economic sectors posting the greatest year-on-year increase in output in September 2025 were computer manufacturing and electronic products (up 12.3%); the food, beverage and tobacco industries (up 9.2%); and the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (up 3.8%). The biggest decreases were seen for the textile, clothing, leather goods and accessories industries (down 4.4%): wood, paper and printing.

(down 4.1%); and chemical product output (down 4.0%).
