(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 12 mag - In March, Italian bank loans to the private sector increased by 2.8% compared to the year earlier after rising by 2.2% in February, according to monthly data from the Bank of Italy.

In particular, loans to households rose by 2.7% year on year in March after increasing by 2.6% in February. Loans to non-financial firms grew by 2.8% after increasing by 1.8% in February.

Private sector deposits increased by 2.5% year on year in.

March, down from the 4.3% growth seen the previous month.
