Industrial sales value down 1.7% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Rome , 10 May - In February, the value of seasonally adjusted industrial sales in Italy increased by 2.0% compared to the previous month while volumes were up 1.4%, data from statistics institute Istat showed.

On the domestic market, the value of sales increased by 1.1% while volumes were up 0.6%. On foreign markets, the value of industrial sales rose by 4.0% while volumes were 2.8% higher.

Compared to the year earlier, calendar adjusted industrial sales fell by 1.7% in value terms, reflecting a 2.5% drop on the domestic market and a 0.1% decline on foreign markets. Industrial sales volumes rose 0.7%, with a 0.6% increase on the domestic market and a 0.9% rise on foreign markets.

There were 21 working days in February 2024 and 20 the year earlier.
