Down 9.6% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Rome, 03 May - World food prices in April 2024 increased 0.3% compared to their revised level the previous month, as rising meat prices and modest upticks for vegetable oils and cereals more than offset decreases for sugar and dairy products, according to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

However year on year, food prices were down 9.6%.
