Feb new manufacturing orders down adj 0.8% mth/mth revised (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Berlin, 07 May - In March, new orders in German manufacturing fell 0.4% on the previous month in real terms and on seasonally and calendar adjusted basis, and were down a calendar adjusted 1.9% year on year, according to the statistics office Destatis.

In February new manufacturing orders fell 0.8% on the previous month compared with a preliminary estimate of a 0.2% rise. Year on year, orders fell 8.8% in February.

Destatis noted that the less volatile three-month on three-month comparison showed that new orders were 4.3% lower in the period from January to March.

When large-scale orders are excluded, new orders in March were 0.1% higher than in February.
