EU preliminary Q1 GDP up 0.3% qtr/qtr, up 0.5% yr/yr (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Brussels , 30 Apr - In the first quarter of 2024, seasonally adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.3% in both the eurozone and the European Union compared to the previous quarter, according to preliminary data from EU statistical office Eurostat.

Compared with the first quarter of 2023, GDP rose by 0.4% in the eurozone and by 0.5% in the EU, the preliminary data also showed.

In the fourth quarter of 2023 compared with the previous quarter, GDP declined by 0.1% in the euro area and was stable in the EU.
