Eurozone preliminary March CPI up 2.5% yr/yr vs 1.9% in Feb
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 31 mar - The eurozone's annual inflation is expected to be 2.5% in March, up from 1.9% in February, according to a preliminary estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
Energy is expected to have the highest annual rate in March, up 4.9%, compared with a 3.1% decline in February, followed by services (3.2%, compared with 3.4% in February), food, alcohol & tobacco (2.4%, compared with 2.5% in February) and non-energy industrial goods (0.5%, compared with 0.7% in February).
Overall inflation in the eurozone rose an estimated 1.2%.
