April exports up 1.5% yr/yr, imports up 8.4% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Beijing, 09 May - In April, China's trade surplus widened to 72.35 billion dollars from 58.55 billion in March, according to the General Administration of Customs.

Exports rose 1.5% year on year in April, reversing a 7.5% decline in March.

Imports grew 8.4% from a year earlier after falling 1.9% in March.
