Canada Oct CPI up 2.2% yr/yr vs 2.4% in Sept

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 17 nov - In October, Canadian consumer prices rose 2.2% on a year-over-year basis, down from a 2.4% increase in September, according to Statistics Canada.

Inflation decelerated largely due to gasoline prices, which fell 9.4% in October compared with a 4.1% decline in September. Excluding gasoline, prices rose 2.6% in October, matching the increase in September.

Consumer prices rose 0.2% month over month in October. On a.

seasonally adjusted monthly basis, they were up 0.1%.
