Canada March CPI up 2.9% yr/yr vs 2.8% in Feb

Up 0.6% mth/mth (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Ottawa, 16 Apr - In March, Canada's consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.9% on a year-over-year basis, compared with a 2.8% gain in February, according to Statistics Canada.

Excluding gasoline, the all-items CPI slowed to a 2.8% year-over-year increase, down from a 2.9% gain in February.

On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.6% in March.

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.3% in March.
